Santa Claus Licensing has teamed up with Santa Claus and Pekka Hyysalo for a 17-film Vamlas support campaign to raise awareness of the needs of children and young people with disabilities, which we can meet to bring joy, relief, smoothness and perhaps most importantly, a greater sense of equality in society from a positive and uplifting angle. In each film, Pekka and Santa Claus chat casually about a theme while decorating a Christmas tree. Pikkujätti, Finland's only fully-owned children's medical centre, has been involved in making this possible.
The campaign starts on Plot Day 1.12.2022 and runs until 17.12.2022.
Every year, the Santa Claus Foundation makes a donation called Santa's Gift, made possible by all of Santa's official partners. This year, Santa Claus' gift will go to Vamlak Foundation for Children and Young People with Disabilities. The donation will make it possible for Vamlaks to benefit from the "Hello Christmas Month! - The event is an accessible and barrier-free event for families of children with disabilities, where families can participate and at the same time hear about different activities for children with disabilities. The background is that equal opportunities for children and young people with disabilities to participate in society are not fully realised. For example, people with special needs often find it difficult to find suitable hobbies and make friends through them.
