Arabia starts working with Santa Claus

Santa Claus by Arabia – tableware illustrates the rich Finnish nature

Arabia has started cooperation with the Santa Claus Licensing, and will bring a range of Santa Claus by Arabia branded products to the market. Santa Claus will work as the Arabia spokesman, representing the richness of Finland, such as nature and its treasures. The illustrations feature the northern lights, snowmen, and animals of the Korvatunturi fell.

In addition to Arabia, other companies cooperating with the Finnish Santa Claus such as as Finavia, Finnair and Posti, will also be telling the Santa Claus story. All cooperating companies will produce their products from quality materials and favour ethical consumerism. The aim is to get global visibility to the Santa Claus products. For example, Helsinki-Vantaa airport will become Santa Claus’ official airport.

“We definitely wanted to be part of taking the Santa Claus brand and story of Korvatunturi fell to the world. There are about 4.8 billion people in the world who already know Santa Claus. It is great to start work with one of the best known brands in the world” rejoices Fiskars licensing business product manager Nora Haatainen.

Santa Claus by Arabia tableware reflects the joy of giving

The values of good will and joy of giving that Santa Claus represents, are all reflected in the new tableware range. The range will consist of two mugs, jars, plate and a bowl, and be part of Arabia permanent collection. The illustrations show Finnish treasures from snow to the northern lights. The colors are stylish, for example the soft blue brings a bit of mysticism to the dishes.

“We wanted to show nature’s authenticity and cleanliness in the illustrations, as they are a true richness that we sometimes forget to tell” Haatainen describes.

Santa Claus by Arabia products are made in Finland at the Arabia factory. The range will be on sale on the 1st of October 2015.
