Santa Claus became the most popular Finn at the Rio Olympic Games

The most well-known Finnish resident surprised everyone by attending the Rio Olympic Games. Tens of thousands eager children and adults came to visit Santa Claus. Santa was cheering for the Olympic athletes and was happy to see so much goodwill and team spirit.

During the games was opened a Finland House in Rio which served as a meeting place and a showcase for Finnish know-how. Santa Claus was there hosting and representing Finland with Finnish people such as the President of the Republic, Sauli Niinistö.

Santa has returned again back home to the Northern Finland and sends his greetings to everyone. See you again in 4 months!
